About Dr. Amir Kamel

Amir Kamel, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, MPH is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). He brings a wealth of experience and a true passion for patient care to K Wellness.

Dr. Kamel earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He went on to complete his Master of Science in Nursing (FNP) at Walden University, as well as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Wichita State University. His academic background also includes a dual Bachelor of Science in Biology and Microbiology from New Mexico State University and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Hispanic/U.S.-Mexico Border Health from the University of Texas at El Paso.

With a blended clinical expertise in both acute and chronic care, Dr. Kamel specializes in: Primary Care & Preventive Health, Chronic Disease Management (Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia), Weight Management, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Mental Health Care (Depression & Anxiety), and Adult & Geriatric Care.

What truly sets him apart is his belief that patient interaction and open communication are the heart of healthcare. He values the time he spends with each patient, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and empowered in their health journey.

More than anything, Dr. Kamel finds joy in building lasting relationships with his patients, guiding them toward better health while focusing on education, prevention, and personalized treatment plans.

Outside of the clinic, Amir enjoys spending time with his family, watching football with his son - the center of his universe, and staying busy with projects around the house. Go Cowboys!
